Our Dance Team

We are the West Chester University Dance Team, a student-run organization on campus that uses our talent and passion for dance to spread school spirit on the local, regional, and national levels.

One of the major initiatives of our team is our annual trip to UDA College Nationals to represent West Chester University on a national stage! In 2022, the WCUDT placed 1st in the Open Hip Hop Division and 11th in the Open Jazz Division. Then, the WCUDT placed 3rd in the Open Hip Hop Division, 7th in Open Game Day (first time ever), and 9th in Open Jazz Division. As we head into the 2023-2024 season, we will continue to set the bar high for ourselves and practice diligently to surpass our rankings.

Why Donate?

Of course, being a part of our team requires a financial commitment. Because we are not a part of the athletic department and considered a sport club the school provides minimal funding to our team, which is not enough to meet our team’s financial needs. Your donations play a pivotal role in helping us cover various expenses, including:

1. National Competition Costs: From choreographers, music, & costumes fees your contributions help ensure we can compete at Nationals and bring home another National Championship

2. Community Outreach: We strongly believe in giving back to our community. Donations allow us to conduct dance workshops and clinics for children in our community.

3. Travel Expenses: For regional and national competitions, performances, and dance festivals, travel costs can be significant. Your support helps us participate and showcase our talent on the National stage.
